So far the rumors about the performance of the next generation consoles have been very disappointing. With performance of the new Xbox said to be about 6-8 times as much as that of the 360. While the new WiiU is said to be about 20% slower. This is a tiny step compared to how much PC hardware has advanced since the launch of the Xbox 360 and the PS3. And remember, the PC was already more powerful than either console when they launched, although the difference was only about 40%. However, if you are like me and dislike stagnation in the gaming world, rejoice because it seems that the Playstation 4 will still push the possibilities of what is possible for consoles. I also want to briefly touch upon my very short experience with the Battlefield 3 PC beta experience. Simply put, the game crashed. 3 times. The major issue causing it is the fact you cannot change the settings before playing. It's not really a big issue for higher end pc's, but my computer is now 2 years old, and struggles with the game on highest settings. On the bright side, what I did experience was absolutely gorgeous. I also have to give some major props to the Origin system. It's very intuitive, and Steam could really take some lessons from this.

I've been playing Madden for over a decade. Some years are better than others, and mostly since the exclusive license deal Madden has been viewed as being on a downward trend. I have to say that I disagree, but before getting too deep into it, lets get right into the 8 team ratings released so far. Two divisions will be released each week of july, and this past week it was the AFC East and AFC West.
The best team of the bunch, rating wise, are the New York Jets. They chime in at 89 overall, which is 4th in the entire game. Jets fans should be pretty happy about it and it is to be expected. They have a top notch offensive line, a great RB, a young up and coming QB with playoff experience, a potential stud at TE, and some alright WR's. All that and I haven't even gotten to their defense yet, which should be poised to be #1 in the league. We do not know all the players individual ratings yet, but by all indications the jets are a force to be reckoned with this year in Madden 2011.
Want to see the rest of the ratings? Hop inside.

Recently, more details for GoldenEye 007 Wii have been spotted, and it seems like the game will be following the original film more than the Nintendo 64 release. Complex will not be making an appearance in multiplayer due to it not being part of the film, but the unreachable island from the Dam level will be returning. All classic multiplayer modes will be returning and Statue Park will now be featured as a multiplayer level. The missions will be longer and more involved and will also have new cinematic moments. Enemy AI will be improved, so hopefully the game will be more of a challenge than the original. Jump inside for the full list of details.
