The release of the 3DS version of the indie game 'The Binding of Isaac' has been blocked by Nintendo. According to the creator of the game Edmund McMillen, Nintendo has decided to decided to block the release of the game for the 3DS on the grounds of the game having 'questionable religious content'

Gimme Gimme Games also report that the date was pulled from the store, and instead, a vague "Summer 2012" listing has been applied instead. Regardless of the date, Kingdom Hearts fans can look forward to a summer filled with traversing the joint Square-Enix and Disney lands to their hearts (sorry) content, whilst also celebrating the fact that this would be one pretty fast localization.

Reggie Fils-Aime, director of Nintendo of America, confirmed yesterday on stage that the NIntendo 3DS will be coming out next year. Furthermore he demonstrated some footage from Donkey Kong Country returns, showing off the co-op play in what seems to be the first level of the game. Get ready to shake those wii-motes people.

EA's Ryan Stradling did an impression of his Nintendo 3DS preview and in his video he mentioned that the 3DS will have achievements, voice chat and friend lists. Furthermore he mentioned live updates and various other small features that weren't mentioned at Nintendo's E3 presentation. We personally like to imagine Sony executives sitting in a corner and crying for the past 24 hours. Release can't come too soon.

Nintendo recently sent out a press release announcing some more detailed specs and information about the 3DS:

Approximately 5.3 inches wide, 2.9 inches long, 0.8 inches tall.
Approximately 8 ounces.
Final design is TBA.
3.53-inch widescreen LCD display, enabling 3D view without the need for special glasses; with 800Ã—240 pixel resolution (400 pixels are allocated for each eye to enable 3D viewing).
