Rumor: Square-Enix Spill The Date For Kingdom Hearts 3D - July 27th

By Jon Partridge on February 27, 2012 10:45 AM | Permalink |

KH3D_Euro_Cover.jpg Square-Enix's online store made a slip-up and have revealed the French release day of the next instalment in the much loved Kingdom Hearts franchise. July 27th looks to be the date that Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream, Drop, Distance will be falling into European stores.

Gimme Gimme Games also report that the date was pulled from the store, and instead, a vague "Summer 2012" listing has been applied instead. Regardless of the date, Kingdom Hearts fans can look forward to a summer filled with traversing the joint Square-Enix and Disney lands to their hearts (sorry) content, whilst also celebrating the fact that this would be one pretty fast localization.

Despite a strong launch in Japan, the Vita has struggled recently, especially compared to Nintendo's established giant. The non-native deficit of backwards compatibility has most likely hindered current PSP owners to upgrade to the latest games device from Sony.

3D Video Capture On 3DS a Possibility?

By Ron J. Pepmeyer on June 23, 2010 3:31 PM | Permalink |

3DS Nintendo's next handheld, the 3DS, uses new technology to display gameplay in autostereoscopic 3D. But will its use of 3-D imaging be limited to just games? A recent quotation of Iwata from Forbes shows an inclination toward a more broad application of their new 3-D hardware, including—possibly—video chat.

"Technologically speaking, a variety of different things are possible with the 3DS, for example, 3-D video chat," Iwata said.

3dssmall.jpgEA's Ryan Stradling did an impression of his Nintendo 3DS preview and in his video he mentioned that the 3DS will have achievements, voice chat and friend lists. Furthermore he mentioned live updates and various other small features that weren't mentioned at Nintendo's E3 presentation. We personally like to imagine Sony executives sitting in a corner and crying for the past 24 hours. Release can't come too soon.
